Two days before I was due to take my first paper for the O level examinations, my father asked if he could talk to me about something.

I asked: "Is it urgent or relevant to the examinations?"

"No," he replied.

"Then, it can...

Had I a magic wand, I'd use it to...

...change the behaviour of some people.

Let me start with the "green man" at the traffic junctions. I have nothing against the green man. But I do not like the way some pedestrians act when the green man lights up, making their

Flying? Leave me out. I have been terrified of air travel since I watched a plane crash on the news many years ago. My parents offered to take me on overseas holidays many times but I turned them down because I'd rather be safe on the ground.

However, I am beginning to realise that it is

I didn't know that having breakfast at a coffeeshop could also be educational.

The other day, my father asked me to accompany him on his morning meal. Although I preferred to have mine in the comfort of my room, I agreed - and was glad I did, as I met my "teacher" in

It was not easy for my parents to get me into a primary school. They had to go school hunting. The line that got me a place in Pei Chun Public School was: "I love school very much."

The principal at that time, Mr Chen Keng Juan, said: "Since you like...

A few days ago, while brushing my teeth, it struck me that it was within my power to control, if not reduce, the dental costs for my parents.

I could do that if I continue to eat healthy food, clean my teeth as often as necessary and visit my dentist regularly.
